The Galaxy Tab 7.0. was powered a single core 1 GHz Exynos processor. It was the first Android-powered tablet to be released. It ran Android 2.2 Froyo when it was first launched and was upgraded to Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 in February 2012.

The second generation of Samsung Galaxy Tab was Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with two varians, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. In 2015, Samsung Galaxy Tab A was released. The tablet is available in three models, 7 inch , 8 inch and 9.7 inch models. The tablet is designed to resemble Samsung Galaxy A series phones and is the first Samsung tablet that come loaded with the free versions of Microsoft Office, including OneNote and OneDrive.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the company’s second generation ultra high-end tablet models. The tablet arrives with two varians, the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. and was released in September 2015 alongside with the company’s Galaxy S6.
