- Nov 22, 2016 I have a polk audio TL1600 5.1 speaker set paired with a pioneer vsx-830-k avr and I'm having an issue with the subwoofer. My speaker setup sounds great after doing the full auto eq setup. The subwoofer works for a few hours and then no bass comes from it.

Start-up Navi App and Built-In AVNavigator
The VSX-830-K features AVNavigator, a built-in system that simplifies the setup process. Unlike other systems that required an app download or the installation of a CD-ROM, AVNavigator helps you easily connect the VSX-830-K to your network and launch your favorite web browser on virtually any device. The AVNavigator will walk you through the connection and setup of your new receiver. You can even explore new features of your AV Receiver using the Interactive Contents section. Just push a button on the virtual remote control and AVNavigator will activate the feature and explain what it does.
The Start-up Navi App is special app to help you easily set up the AV receiver via Wi-Fi with your smartphone. After opening the package, scan the QR code on the Quick Start Guide with your iPod touch/iPhone/iPad or Android device connected to your home network, and download the Start-up Navi app. As you proceed with the wizard, the network set-up for your AV receiver will be completed smoothly. Then, in coordination with the AVNavigator, the app lets you do all the initial settings of the AV receiver.

Along with the addition of independent dual subwoofer output, the VSX-830-K offers a built-in 4-band Subwoofer Equalizer. The Subwoofer EQ determines the location and characteristics of the subwoofer and makes adjustments using four different frequency parameters and an extremely low-latency DSP to reduce phase and timing errors that are often experienced with lesser room calibration systems.
